Matthew's Health Updates

I have removed previous posts to make room for more updates.  If you really want the detailed back-story on Matthew's life so far, email me and I can send it to you.  Otherwise, you can pick things up from here...

July 6th - Delayed post from June news, sorry!  There wasn't really much to report, thankfully, but this made me forget to post here.  Matthew's neuro appointment went very well - they are quite pleased with his progress and will see him again at 18 months.  His allergy appointment went fine, too, though he did test positive still for dairy and soy sensitivities.  So, we will continue an avoidance diet - Matthew strictly, and me as much as possible while he is still nursing.  We see GI and Hematology again on Wednesday this week, and the eye doc again at the end of the month.  All in all, Matthew is doing really well, and we are indeed SO thankful.  His allergist actually commented on being pleasantly surprised to see him so well-appearing after reading his history.  She had expected much worse from his early reports.  God has been incredibly gracious to us.  Meanwhile, he's got 7 teeth, eats like a piggie, and we'll probably go to the zoo for his birthday next week!  With dairy/soy-free cake, of course!

July 25th - Hematology discharged us!  Yay!  The doc said Matthew's big lab results came back "stone cold normal."  One specialist down, six to go!  : )
